HUNTSVILLE, Ala.  — The Village of Providence will be hosting its first free “Music in the Park” event on Saturday, May 2nd starting as 7:00 p.m.

The Rocket City Latin Band, the largest Latin band in the state of Alabama, will be performing and attendees at the event will be invited to dance the night away on a twenty by twenty-eight dance floor brought in for the concert.  

The Village of Providence will also be offering complimentary Salsa dance lessons on the dance floor during the event courtesy of the UAH Salsa Club.

Music in the Park is part of The Village of Providence Free Signature Series Events. 

No outside food or drinks are allowed at the free events but many of the Village restaurants either have tents or offer delivery to the park during them.

“These events continue to grow in popularity and we’re thrilled to have the Rocket City Latin Band performing this week,” said David Slyman town founder.  “Our local Village businesses help make these free events possible and we want to encourage everyone to support them.”
